Three things happened this week:

1: I finished the really big map, “except music”

2: I have composed the title screen song, “available for download later”

3: I did some editing in assembly and did not crash the game.

The others are pretty obvious, but as for assembly, I modified the values of the =Fire Ball= and made it into a gun that launches circular saw blades.  It launches out circular saw blades that bounce off of walls and when they hit the ground they travel along it.  The only thing remaining is to change its sound effects.

Wow! You haven’t been here as long as me, and you’re already doing assembly??

You’re awesome. The modified fireball looks awesome. I look forward to a beta!

    • So am I. But I still can’t do music very well, so expect some waiting. Plus, all I have done in assembly is edit some numbers, so don’t feel too excited. Beta will take awhile, as I want the betas that are realeased to be quite long and not a drab to play.

The only music I could make ( the objection theme from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) was by copying note-for-note from a midi file. You should ask someone to make a song. (I’m in the same shoes as you for shift story…I need like 1-2 epic songs but I’ll need to ask someone for them.)

As for a demo (beta is the wrong term I suppose); I’ll be making one when Shift Story is at around 10 levels, then 20, then 30, then the full game.

And finally, as for assembly, I have no idea what I’m doing :/. I could learn, but Shift story has no need for assembly hacks, so I’m avoiding that for now. Still, great job!
